Attorney General Githu Muigai has resigned.
President Uhuru Kenyatta announced Muigai’s resignation and consequently nominated judge Luka Kimaru to take over Muigai’s place.
“I have received with regret the resignation of Attorney General Prof. Githu Muigai. I thank him for his service for the last six and a half years. I have nominated as his replacement Judge Paul Kihara Kariuki,” said Uhuru.
Muigai has served as Attorney General of Kenya for six years.
In the same breath Uhuru also appointed former solicitor General Njee Muturi as the Deputy Chief of Staff and nominated Kennedy Ogeto to replace him
