George Magoha Sworn in as Education Cabinet Secretary

Professor George Magoha has been sworn in as Education Cabinet Secretary after taking oath of office at State House, Nairobi.

Magoha was sworn-in by Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua, in the presence of President Uhuru Kenyatta and a host of other top State officials.

Magoha who was the former KNEC boss takes over from Amina Mohamed who moved to the Sports docket.

The new Commissioner General of the Kenya Prisons Service Wycliffe Ogalo was also sworn in at the same function.

President Uhuru went on to praise Magoha excellent service while at KNEC

“We have worked with you in delivering credible exams. I am now counting on you on the 100% transition from primary to secondary schools, good management of resources and in implementing the new curriculum,” said the President

Also present during the swearing-in ceremony were Interior CS Fred Matiang’i, Chief of Staff and Head of Delivery Nzioka Waita among other senior government officials.
