The body of the late Ivan Don Ssemwanga will be flown from South Africa and is expected to return to Uganda on Sunday as reported by his family.
His uncle Herbert Luyinda speaking to a popular Ugandan tabloid said they are organizing with the team in South Africa to have the body flown back to Uganda on Sunday.
“We are in touch with the South African team that took care of Ssemwanga and they booked a Sunday afternoon flight to return the body,”
A Vigil will be held once the body arrives in Uganda followed by a church service on Monday at Namirembe Cathedral. He will then be given his final send off on Tuesday.
“After church, the body will proceed to Nakaliro village in Kayunga district where he will be laid to rest on Tuesday.”
Herbert said that the agreement was arrived at during a meeting that was held between friends and relatives of the late Ssemwanga at his home in Muyenga, on Thursday.
Ssemwanga’s death has caught many by surprise and till now some are still struggling to believe that the tycoon is gone.
