Four suspected thugs were on Thursday morning shot dead in Nairobi’s Huruma Estate.
Huruma residents say they were woken up with gun shot sounds at around 4 a.m in the morning.
The suspcted thugs who were waylaid by police in their houses were mostly teenagers.
Police says the suspects were killed in connection with a robbery incident that happened in Ngara on Saturday that saw seven people shot with a silencer gun.
The residents however claim that a 26 year old boy known as Kavese was not part of the gang that conducted the robbery heist.
Kavese who is running a mitumba business in Nairobi was allegedly taken from his house and bundled together with three more boys who were in a probox vehicle and taken to Woodlands.
“Three more boys were brought in together while being carried behind a Probox car to woodlands area in huruma thats when they met their death” said a resident.
The police officers who were identified from Pangani were looking for suspects of the recent robbery that took place in the area where money was stolen.
“The suspects were seen hanging around Kavese’s shop some time before the robbery which made the police assume Kavese was one of them,” he further stated.
Kavese was the only child in their family andwas the sole bread winner.
He has left behind a wife and a two week old baby.
