Four University of Nairobi students were today arrested at the Kenyatta National Hospital following a demonstration against the facility.

The students were arrested outside KNH’s Accident and Emergency wing.

The students from UoN’s Kabete Campus had marched to the hospital chanting “KNH management must go” slogans.

They accused the hospital’s management of ignorance that has resulted to the many medical mishaps at the hospital.

The arrests were by plain clothes police officers who took the seven to Kilimani Police Station.

Kenyatta National Hospital has been under fire following allegations of rape, the theft of a baby and the performance of a head surgery on the wrong patient.

The hospital says the two patients who underwent surgery are recovering but a family in Kitale has accused its doctors of being responsible for the death of University of Nairobi student Angelo Miano.
