Football team in financial crisis appeals for help

Owing to lack of sponsors, Buruburu football club has been facing financial challeneges in the Kenyan premier league.

The team which currently plays at Division one in the league has decided to try and help the situation by hosting a fund drive to help relieve their pain.

Buruburu FC coach Patrick Oduor popularly known as Kese has called for support from well wishers to help the team move forward in the league.

“The team needs support because of the financial crisis. We call on the whole football family starting from the fans for help so that we can achieve the best because we got the ability” he said

The team which was started in the year 2006 started playing at the Nairobi county football leagues before moving into the national league.

The fund drive slated for February 23rd at SOS children’s home in Buruburu is aimed at raising money to cover affiliation fee, transport costs, purchasing sporting kits and facilitating their participation in the FKF Division 1 league.
