Business was brought to a standstill at Barclays bank Queensway branch on Mama Ngina street after flying squad stormed the bank and recovered $170 million (Ksh. 17 Billion) in a safe.

The officers have since arrested three people, a foreigner and two Kenyans in connection with the money.

There is no official confirmation on whether the money is real currency or fake.

Sources say the three were ambushed as they stashed the money in a safe deposit box.
