Flats Tornados assistant Coach Job ‘Jobiso’ Sunday says he is ready for any team in round three of group stage matches after his side beat MASA 1-0 in a clash that was played on Tuesday December 6 at Ziwani grounds,Nairobi.
A strike from Vincent Paul 29’ earned coach Sunday’s side 3 points ahead of MASA to sit top of Group G of the annual Kothbiro Tournament.
Coach ‘Jobiso’ expressed his delight as he commended his team for “a good job done” saying that tactical discipline drove his side’s win against MASA.
“We entered the game hoping for a win,but with tactical discipline being our philosophy.”
Flats Tornados were eliminated at round two of the 2015 edition, “this is transition for the team and it means a good progress so far”.
However Coach Sunday admitted the match against MASA,a side he described as a “worthy opponent” was tough.
“It has not been easy playing MASA because both teams were battling to qualify for round three and also to top the group.” Said coach Sunday.
“But Flats Tornados have pushed us very hard and I am impressed by how the team has played”.
At the same time MASA’s head coach Coach Amina Geek conceded the defeat saying the lose would serve as a lesson to his side.
MASA dominated the second half of the match but were overpowered by their opponent when Reuben Ochieng was shown a yellow card 77′.
“Despite a good fight from MASA,we lost and I’ll take it a lesson,so our approach will have to be different”.
He advised is team to work hard to win the next match.
MASA is now sitting second of Group G with 3 points
MASA faces Black Mamba while Flat Tornados are set to meet Langata Gremio in the next group G matches to be played on Wednesday,December 14.
