Five people die of coronavirus, two with underlying conditions
FIVE more people have died of Covid-19 raising the number of deaths to 465.
Health CAS Mercy Mwangangi stated that out of the five deaths, two had underlying illnesses, one had diabetes and the other person had cancer.
Mwangangi stated that 580 more people tested positive to the novel coronavirus raising the number to 29,334.
Out of the 580, 50 are foreigners while 50 were Kenyans with the youngest being one year old and the eldest being 92 years old.
Mwangangi also announced that 198 more people recovered from the virus with 119 being persons under the home-based care programme while 79 were discharged from different hospitals.
This is how the cases were spread across the counties; Nairobi, 375, Kiambu 53, Machakos 23, Busia 17, Mombasa 15, Nakuru 15, Kajiado 14, Kisumu 12, Lamu 10, Nyeri 7, Laikipia 3, Baringo 2, Kisii 2, Turakana 2, Vihiga 2, Garissa 1, Bungoma 1, Murang’a 1, Nyandarua 1, Siaya 1, and Trans Nzoia 1.
