Embakasi East political aspirant Joshua Obinde has been arraigned in court with robbery with violence charges.

Obiende arrested yesterday and was taken to Embakasi Police station.

He was arraigned at the Makadara law courts where he was charged with robbery with violence.

He was however released on a cash bail of Ksh 500,000.

Joshua Obiende vied for the Embakasi East parliamentary seat in 2017 General Elections on an Amani National Congress seat.

The Embakasi seat was won by Babu Owino who garnered 45,462 votes.

If found guilty of robbery with violence Obiende might face a death sentence.
