Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has launched a football tournament in his constituency to help nurture talent among the youth.
elicited mixed reactions after posting pictures on his social media pages showing off his football prowess.
The MP who launched the tournament dubbed Super Cup at Jacaranda grounds on Tuesday 7, 2018, said the initiative was aimed to provide an opportunity for the youth to showcase their talents in football.
“I would like to thank everyone who attended Babu Owino Super Cup tournament launch at Jacaranda grounds today. It is my belief that this initiative will provide an opportunity for our brothers and sisters in Embakasi East to show case their talents,” he said
While talking about progress in his constituency, Babu said he would like to end water shortage, unemployment and providing care for the aged in the next two years.
“I would like to finish all my work as your member of parliament in the next two years, the youth will get jobs, the aged will be well taken care of, roads will be made and water shortage sorted in two years so I can spend the remaining two years relaxing.” He said
Babu also promised to launch a project that will build and nature upcoming artistes in a competition that will see ten upcoming artistes receive a recording deal.
The member of parliament also promised to take up the land dispute involving Jacaranda grounds and other demolitions in Emabakasi east.
“Whoever will come in a tractor to demolish houses in Embakasi east is the one we will deal with till they leave Embakasi East alone.” He added
