Eight Kisii High School students have been arrested in connection with the fire that burnt a dormitory.
The students were allegedly captured on CCTV cameras installed in the school leaving the dormitory before it started burning.
During the Tuesday night incident, parents and the public flocked the national school after getting news that it was burning.
School Board of Management Chairman Patrick Nyagusia said the flames consumed property of unknown value.
The DCI has warned students caught in arson acts of being prosecuted.
In a statement the DCI further stated that the acts of crime might affect the students’ certificates of good conduct.
