Eight Hate Speech Legislators In Court

MPS COURT3The eight Jubilee and Cord MPs accused of hate speech have been charged at the Milimani Law Courts after spending at least three nights in cold police cells.

The legislators have all pleaded not guilty to charges of hate speech and violence read to them separately.

Their lawyers James Orengo and John Khaminwa are currently making applications on why the legislators should be released on bail.

“We are being taken back to dark days.The court should rebuke those who bring incitement charge,” Argued Khaminwa.
