Newly appointed Education cabinet secretary Professor George Magoha has vowed to streamline the education sector in the country.
Speaking at Kenya Institute of Curriculum development, Magoha said he will ensure that every child in the country gets access to quality education.
“During my time every child in the country will get quality education no matter their background in life and am sounding a warning to politicians not to waste their time coming to me thinking I will engage in partisan politics. “Said Magoha
He has further vowed to work with everybody in the education sector to ensure he delivers on the president’s agenda.
Since his appointment Magoha has received backing from parents in the country based on his success in previous dockets which he held including the Kenya National Examination council where he was able to curb cases of exam cheating.
Speaking at the same event cabinet secretary for interior Fred Matiang’i has pledged his support for the new CS.
“We will work together to ensure we achieve the president’s agenda in education and will hold more consultative meetings with stakeholders in different ministries to make sure education in the country has been fully streamlined.”Said Matiang’i
