A Section of East African Legislative Assembly Mps from Kenya has defended former Kamukunji Member of Parliament Simon Mbugua ,over claims that he is running affairs at county government of Nairobi  and threatening MCAs.

Addressing the media after  giving governor Mike Mbuvi  Sonko courtesy  call at City Hall ,Mpuri Aburi  asked Nairobi county assembly leaders to shun petty politics and concentrate on the development agendas initiated by the governor.

Mbugua on the other hand stated that he will not be intimidated by anybody and his friendship with governor Mike Sonko started  many years ago before he became  Makadara  mp and lately Nairobi governor.

He describe the allegations as political witch-hunt fuelled by those who want to cut deals at city hall.

Mbugua is a member of EALA   and he was nominated  under Jubilee party.
