Drunk mechanic kills one child, injure two in Kariobangi

Kariobangi residents Darfur area  are in pain following a tragic accident that left a nine year old  child dead  and other two people seriously injured on Monday evening.

Trouble started when  two mechanics drove into Darfur  estate and in the process the vehicle lost control before ramming into a school’s mabati fence  knocking down two kids and a woman who was on  call.

The two children  were rushed to Mama Lucy hospital before where one died on Tuesday.

According to eye witness and area resident Dickens Omondi the driver was under influence of alcohol and they were heading for another chang’aa den to envoy more drinks.

The vehicle was taken by the police to Kariobangi police station as the police continues with the hunt of the killer driver who after the incident  took off.

Preliminary investigations  show that the vehicle KCK 453 C belongs to a top business man in Nairobi.

The residents have called for speedy investigations and arrests of the driver.
