A press conference to be addressed by Nairobi Central Business District association chairman Timothy Muriuki ended prematurely this morning this is after group of goons stormed it and roughed up Muriuki at Boulevard Hotel.
The group believed to be supporters of Nairobi governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko did not spare the clean suit of Mr. Mriuki, they tore his trouser and shirt after heavy blows that left him on ground.
The situation was later calmed by the police who arrived a bit late .
Muriuki statement was to address the challenges affecting the city and criticise Sonko’s poor leadership.
At 12.30 another group led by Bunge la Mwananchi officials who were to also issue another statement on the state of Nairobi county ended it prematurely following Boulevard Hotel skirmishes.
Meanwhile Makongeni MCA Peter Imwatok who was termed yesterday by Sonko as a cartel now says his life is in danger.
The vocal MCA says he was surrounded by a group of goons next to City Hall Annex this morning where he was nearly bitten.
