A section of Embakasi East Residents are urging Felix Orinda popularly known as DJ Evolve to meet with Embakasi East MP Babu Owino and settle the matter out of court.
The residents who referred to both DJ Evolve and Babu as their son say that the move will help the MP expedite his duties as the Embakasi east legislator.
Beatrice Akoth Chairlady, Lower Savannah says that the arrest of Babu as put to halt so many projects he had planned for January one of them being ensuring that bright and needy pupils join form one.
“We wish Babu would be released so that we sort it out. Both Orinda and Babu are family and we will sort it out. Babu has really helped residents and was even in the process of helping those who are going to form one but now he can’t. I just wish he would be released.” She said
Kenneth Otieno on the other hand asked residents to allow the justice system to investigate the matter but maintains that the residents are hopeful that Babu will be released.
“We are really praying for his release even as much as we can’t address the matter because it is in court. At the moment we are just stranded because there is the issue of bursaries which can’t be released because the MP is not arround. There are even matresses that he needs to release to those who are going to form one.” Kenneth said.
Meanwhile Magistrate Kennedy Cheruiyot has ordered that Babu be treated at the Industrial Area Prison Hospital.
This is after he failed to appear for his incitement case citing ill health.
