The Director General Nairobi Metropolitan Services Major General Abdallah Badi met Nairobi County Assembly leadership on Friday in a meeting that saw the two sides agree on how they will work together to steer development in Nairobi.
One of the demands presented to Badi by the assembly leadership was that he address the issue of revenue gaps in the county starting with public toilets where cartels and gangsters allegedly thrive.
The house also wants Badi to lias with county public health to ensure residents in their respective ward are well informed on the deadly Covid-19.
“Regarding the issue of Covid-19 its our humble request that you explore on how you can engage the public health officers, the community health workers and Nyumba Kumi to do sensitisation within every ward in the city.” The statement reads.
Meanwhile Minority whip Peter Imwatok who has been at loggerhead with the current governor was delighted saying his ward is already receiving clean water and garbage is being collected.
“Already Makongeni people who had been neglected because of my stand on the current county government are seeing garbage collection and water reconnect.” He said.
