The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has warned students against engaging in criminal acts which include arson and destruction of property.
The DCI says that they are profiling every criminal acts committed by the students for possible prosecution.
“Let each student be informed that it will automatically be reflected on the Police Clearance Certificate (Certificate of Good Conduct) when such student will apply for one,” it stated.
The warning comes against a backdrop of dormitory fires and arson attacks in high schools.
The DCI has made the statement just a week after several schools mostly in the Nyanza region have been closed due to arson attacks.
The agency further warned that the acts will affect the students’ future especially when seeking employment.
