DCI Pounces on Five Nairobi County Assembly Officials

Detectives from Directorate of Criminal Investigation have arrested five top senior officials at Nairobi county assembly over graft claims in the audit report 2016/2017 financial year.

Director of criminal investigation has confirmed the arrest of deputy county assembly clerk Adah Awuor Onyango, finance manager Fredrick Macharia,Jamese Kaguma senior procurement officer, Philomena Kavinya principal accountant and Rafael Mwinzi Maluki proprietor Primara ventures.

The five are accused of irregularly awarding a tender for the supply of books worth almost 1 million shillings to the assembly resource centre.

DCI investigations however established that no books were ever supplied.

They will be arraigned in court on Monday alongside  assembly Clerk Jacob Ngwele who has gone missing.
