A section of youth in Nairobi’s Dandora area yesterday camped at the Kinyago Police Station in Dandora to protest extrajudicial killings in the area.

Led by Dandora Youth Leader Donald Mandalo, the youth expressed concern over the high rate at which young boys were being murdered by the police.

Speaking to Ghetto Radio News, Mandalo urged the government to instead empower the youth with jobs and even help them start up business enterprises.

“Most of the youths have talents such as singing,Dancing, and even acting but most of them lack mentorship and thats why they cant nature their talent to its full potential,” said Mandalo.

SKartel Mgaza a Comedian and an actor from the area says most of them are unable to explore their talents due to lack of mentors.

He says this has left them with no option but to resort to garbage collection in the famous Dandora Dumpsite.
