Police have arrested a man suspected of brutally murdering his wife and seriously injuring his daughter in their house in Dandora Phase 2.
He was arrested early today after his seven year old daughter regained consciousness at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) and told the police that her father had attacked them after a quarrel with her mother, Susan Nthambi, on Saturday.
Ms Nthambi’s brother, Simon Mutiso, who reported the incident at the Buruburu Police Station said he found the badly wounded child bleeding profusely on the floor and the body of his sister lying lifeless on the bed with multiple stab wounds on the forehead and on the neck.
The body of the 31-year old woman was taken to the City Mortuary while her daughter is still admitted in hospital.
The suspect will be arraigned in court tomorrow.
