Curtains Close On Third Edition Of The National Boxing League
Boxing Provisional Squad Named National Boxing League third Leg ended on Saturday evening after three competitive days of entertaining days of Boxing League at Mombasa Uwanja Wa Mbuzi Stadium.
The leg had 115 boxers from all Counties who played Knock Out bouts.
The Boxing Federation Of Kenya President Anthony Ombok ‘Jamal’ was impressed with the third Edition’s competitiveness because all teams Participated unlike the two prior legs before elections.
He further said they want to look into a youth league which will kick off in August to scout and groom future talents.
Jamal promised to continue equipping all counties and looking into boxers welfare.
He also thanked Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko and East Africa Legislative Assembly representative Hon. Simon Mbugua for their continued support as he welcomed cooperate companies to support Boxing.
The third boxing leg was important because it was also used as a platform to select the National Team Provisional Squad Of 17 Male Boxers and nine Female Boxers who will represent the Country in the 12th All Africa Games in Rabat Morocco from 19th to 31st Of August 2019.
