COVID-19: Langata Sub-county Liquor Board Chairman Donates Foods to South C Residents
Langata sub-county liquor board chairman Nathan Nzomo has donated foodstuffs to vulnerable people living in South C, Langata constituency in a move to cushion them against the effects of COVID-19.
Nzomo who is also a resident in the area says South C is neglected as many donors only target slams yet there are many vulnerable people in the estate.
‘‘People assume we are better of here, that’s a lie, today we have fed more than 500 families who can not afford 3 meals a day.’’ He said.
Among the stuff distributed include flour, cooking oil, toilet paper, Hand sanitizers, and sugar.
He, however, asked the Langata sub-county bar owners to adhere to the regulations issued by the government and not to lock customers inside and sell them alcohol.
‘‘Bar owners must adhere to directives so that we can fight this pandemic jointly, any attempt to do the contrary will risk lives of many,’’ he added.
