Migori Governor Okoth Obado can now breath a sigh of relief after a High Court decision to review bail terms restraining him from moving outside a 20km radius within the County.

High Court Judge Jessie Lessit lifted the order allowing Obado to move freely and transit freely within the county.

Obado is accused of killing Rongo university student Sharon Otieno in 2018.

The governor was barred from going near the border of Migori and Homa Bay counties after the late Sharon’s parents complained of being threatened.

Obado however sought to have the restriction reviewed in February arguing that while traveling to Nairobi, the most convenient and cost-effective route would be through Homabay
