Harambee Stars Coach Sebastien Migne has called on players to act with professionalism when called upon to represent the Country in National assignments.
Speaking at a media briefing ahead of crucial African Cup of nations clash against Ghana,the Frenchman rued the absence of Stars Captain Victor Mugubi Wanyama who will miss the match due to a nagging injury he sustained while playing for Tottenham in the Premier League.
Migne said the player should have turned up at the camp nevertheless.
Migne gave the example of Mugubi’s team mate France and Tottenham hotspurs Keeper Hugo Lloris who is injured saying that he turned up at the French Camp to be checked by French Doctors.
“It is hard to prepare for a match like this against a top team like Ghana and missing one of my best players in the team,” he exclaimed.
“Hugo Lloris turned up for the French National team despite having an injury so in future I expect our players to act professionally, “he added.
The Black Stars are top in Group F with three points following an opening day 5-0 win against Ethiopia, while Kenya are second from bottom with no point after losing to Sierra Leone 2-1.
The match is set to be played on Saturday 8th September at the Moi International Sports Center Kasarani.
Tickets will retail at Sh1000 and Sh200 for VIP and terraces sections respectively.
