Clinical officers issue one month notice

Kenya clinical officers Union has given the government another one month to sign the 2017/2021  collective bargaining  agreement with an improved salary offer.

Addressing the media the union secretary general George Gibore says they had to drop the 7 days strike notice following a request by the ministry of health and parliment health committees.

The union  accused the government for not honouring their last years promises where the 20,000 clinical officers were to be given additional risk allowance,increased basic salary and promotion.

He further took issues with national government  the way universal health care program is being conducted  citing loop holes in health insurance cover NHIF saying the cover has more limitations.
