Chief Dares Aggrieved Dandora Tenant To Report Her To Matiang’i
A tenant from Dandora in Mowlem area is still in agony after his landlord removed the roof of his house and took his house belongings after a disagreement.
Kevin Ngomo a conductor says attempts to address the issue with the area chief have not been fruitful with the chief daring him to go to CS Fred Matiang’i.
“When i got to the chief’s place, i asked her why she is defending the landlord who broke into my house and took my property without my consent, only for her to tell me that it is procedural and that they have done that so many times,” said Ngomo.
“I then told her it was against the law and that i was fighting for my rights to which she dared me to report her to Matiang’i,” he further stated.
A devastated Ngomo says that his family is suffering the illegal ordeal meted on him by the landlord and the chief forcing him to move his children to their grandmother’s place.
Ngomo says the landlord wants to extort Ksh. 4,000 from him since he does not have any rent arrears.
