More that 40 houses have been burnt down in  a fire tragedy that broke out today 9.00 am this morning at Central Police station in Nairobi .

Properties worth thousands of shillings were razed to ashes including  money, police uniforms, police certificates and house holds.

OCPD Central Division Harrison Thuku  confirmed the incident but praised the county  government  fire fighters for containing the fire in time.

Thuku on ther hand noted that   more than 50 of his officers are now houseless and they are exepected to sleep temprarily under tents before further measurers are taken.

Another matter that caught the eyes of the publice who were puttiing off the fire is how pathetic and squized those houses  are despite the government assurance of modern housing in the police services.

According to Thuku those who are not married have been sharing rooms.
