Sala and the pilot for the small aircraft they were in disappeared on Monday evening in the Channel Island on their way back to the UK from France.

In the message to friends Sala expressed fear  saying “I’m here on a plane that looks like it’s about to fall apart, and I’m going to Cardiff, crazy, tomorrow we already start, and in the afternoon we start training, boys, in my new team.”

In his last message he said “How are you guys, all good? If you do not have any more news from in an hour and a half, I don’t know if they need to send someone to find me… I am getting scared!”

The search and rescue operation for the plane had been stopped after 15 hours of the mission.

Cardiff city released a statement saying they are to get positive message from the search and rescue operation with training having been stopped.

Sala completed a move to Cardiff City from Ligue 1 side Nantes on Saturday having traveled to France to bid farewell to former team-mates.
