Brian Kassaine, suspect in Monica Kimani murder freed

Brian Kassaine who was arrested alongside Jacque Maribe over the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani has been released.

Kassaine was released by Kiambu Principal Magistrate Justus Kituku who ordered him to report to the DCI every Thursday.

The court also ordered him  to deposit his passport within the next 48 hours

Thirty five year old Kassaine was arrested after a gun that Jacque Maribe’s fiance Jowie Irungu allegedly used to shoot himself was found in his house.

Speaking after the release, Kassaine expressed relief thanking his family for standing with him throughout the time.

“It’s been a rough 13 days for me in custody, am just happy to be free, the investigating officers are doing their job, i thank my family for standing me,

The case will be mentioned on December 14 at the Kiambu law court.
