Brazil football legend Ronaldinho Gaucho was the guest of honour at the official opening of the Betika office at the Mayfair Business Centre in Westlands, Nairobi.
The event was attended by Betika directors Mr George Mburu, Mr Godfrey Wambaa, Mr Rupen Samani and Mr Chris Mwirigi.
Ronaldinho arrived in Kenya on Friday, November 9 for a three-day tour courtesy of Betika.
The former AC Milan and Barcelona star played an exhibition match alongside Kenyan football legends against the 2009 Kenya Premier League champions Sofapaka at KCB Sports Club, Ruaraka, at the KCB Sports Club.
Ronaldinho is the official Betika brand ambassador and will be involved in the match courtesy of the gaming firm which also sponsors Sofapaka FC.
The Kenyan Legends was handled by former Harambee Stars coach Jacob ‘Ghost’ Mulee and featured Mahmoud Abass, Dennis Oliech and 1987 Africa Cup Winners’ Cup winning captain Austin Oduor.
Other players included former Harambee Stars captain Musa Otieno, Kakamega Homeboyz striker Allan Wanga and former AFC Leopards and Stars goalkeeper Matthew Ottamax.
Sofapaka edged out the Legends 4-1 and awarded Ksh 200,000 for the win while the legends went home with Ksh 150,000.
