Boda boda operators in Nairobi are counting losses barely two months after they were kicked out of the CBD by the Nairobi county government,  following an executive order from governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko.

In an interview with Ghetto Radio News  Boda boda Safety Association of Kenya chairman Ken Onyango, he says  they used to make approximately sh. 2000 a day something that has reduced to five  hundred shillings.

He laments that the police officers and county askaris manning CBD are also using that order to frustate and get bribes from boda boda operators who drop passengers in the designated areas.

Following the out cry a crisis meeting was held by Nairobi regional commissioner ,police commander and the county government where they resolved to form a committee that will address all boda boda woes in the county and their operations in the CBD.

According to Onyango they  are progressing well though the county government is not willing to co-opertate with the boda bodas.
