Ugandan singer and politician Bobi Wine’s much-anticipated concert, the Kyarenga Concert, will go on as scheduled despite an earlier ban by the Ugandan police.

The concert’s official organizers, Emma Promotions and Marketing Agency have confirmed that the concert will take place.

”Kyarenga Concert to happen on the 9th Nov 2018 at Mandela National Stadium Namboole. We reached the agreement with the stadium management yesterday and the only remaining part is the police to do its job of providing security. Tickets will go on sale next week and trust me this is going to be the concert of the century,”  read a post on social media

The dates of the concert were however changed from October, Saturday 20, to Friday, November 9, due to wrangles with police over clearance.

Bobi Wine was expected to officially launch his latest hit song, Kyarenga, an Afro-beat love hit in which the embattled MP expresses his love for a girl he is pursuing in May but was not able to.
