A court session of the bail application process for the Kenya Power Bosses was interrupted after the court was plunged into darkness.

The 14 Kenya Power bosses who include the now suspended MD Ken Tarus and former MD Ben Chumo have been in custody since Friday night had applied for a bail hearing which was supposed to be heard today.

Chief Magistrate Douglas Ogoti had to adjourn the court session following the blackout.

Their lawyers on Monday protested the Friday arrests and detention of the suspects saying it was meant to frustrate them.

The prosecution however argued that they needed not to be granted bail in order to prevent them from interfering with witnesses.
