Big Kev Loses Eyesight, Calls For Prayers
The good book says that blessed are those who trust in the lord for they will be like a tree planted by the water , that they will not fear in the face of heat but its leaves will be green and will not be anxious in a year of drought nor cease to yield fruits. Big Kev has proven to be that tree that even in the midst of all his heath challenges he has refused to throw in the towel.
The renowned event organiser and Trublaq CEO Kevin Ombajo, has lost his eyesight and in a lengthy post on his facebook page, Big Kev as he is famously known poured his heart out in a lengthy post on how difficult the situation has been but also reassured his fans that he was not about to give up. His status read;
“It’s dark, very dark. Not all of us can relate but it is like being in a small dark room with no Windows and no doors.
I can’t remember the last time I saw my face in a mirrow, and I meet people everyday whom I hope to get to see soon.
In the last couple of weeks, many of you have approached me to wish me well. These kind gestures give me strength. More so when you mention pray. I know my friend and family are very concerned because this landed on our doorstep. I know that there are many people out here with real challenges and it’s easy to lose hope but I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
There is so much bad news in the world that this is what feeds our faith. The world needs good news.
Kindly allow me to share what makes me strong, I feed on good news. The bible has over 5,000 promises, everyday I take some of these and I hold GOD to His word.
Only a fool says in his heart there is no GOD.
GOD is not a man that He should lie.
He cannot give us something we can’t handle.
He will never leave us nor forsake us.
The just shall leave by faith. Faith is the substance of things not seen, it’s the evidence of the invisible. Faith comes by hearing GOD’s word. The power of life and death is in the tongue.
Speak life into your circumstance. Without faith it is impossible to please GOD, anyone who comes to Him must believe that He is and that He rewards those who diligently seek him.
We are now organizing Gospel Extravaganza in earnest and believing GOD for a fantastic event in all ways, 17th December at the KICC let’s meet up and praise.”
The enterpreneur who was first diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2010 has had multiple seizures and has undergone several surgeries to remove the tumour which keeps recurring. He has been very open about battling this illness in a bid to encourage those going through hard times.
He said that the doctors had diagnosed him with a condition called optic atrophy which basically means that the optic nerves dried up. Unfortunately, there is no effective treatment for optic atrophy. Once the nerve fibers in the optic nerve are lost they never heal or grow back. Therefore, the best defense for optic nerve atrophy is an early diagnosis because if the cause can be found and corrected, further damage can be prevented. Reference: www.naturaleyecare.com
