Bebe Cool claims Bobi Wine was behind his recent concert Attack
Ugandan star Moses Ssali popularly known as Bebe Cool has called out his nemesis member of parliament Bobi Wine over his recent attack.
Bebe cool was performing at a concert in Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala alongside former Blu3 member Cindy Sanyu when rowdy fans pelted him.
The singer, who on Wednesday said that he has forgiven the 11 men arrested for his attack, is now pointing fingers and Bobi Wine and event promoters allied to Bobi Wine’s party.
“Our security forces should begin charging at least Shs 5 million from promoters organizing very big events. The forces can then be able to deploy more plain-clothed officers amongst the crowds.” He said
Bebe Cool however maintained that he has forgiven the young men and asked them to refrain from being used to wreak havoc.
“Today I had a chance to meet the relatives of the different young men who were arrested on Saturday for pelting bottles at me on stage. I forgave the culprits because some of these relatives were mothers, wives with babies and the fact that they are young men being ignorantly used. But I asked them to have relative conversations with the arrested culprits about refraining from such acts that would harm innocent Ugandans, themselves and their families” he added
However one of the promoters identified as Abtex claims that Bebe Cool himself planned the whole thing and even called journalist to attend the gig in order to witness the fracas.
“We even know the person who gave Bebe Cool the money (Shs 5million) to buy people to carry out the stunt, he is a money lender and Bebe Cool will be paying him back Shs6.5 million. He even called a few journalists telling them to attend Cindy’s show because something is going to happen. I don’t believe in being rowdy but Ugandans already expressed their anger to the singer when they first pelted bottles at him two years ago and no longer have time to waste on him.” He said
