Bandari coach, Twahir Muhiddin, wants his boys to quickly forget the continental disappointment and turn their focus on the league even as the team prepares for an explosive match against AFC Leopards today,at Nyayo Stadium. From 7pm.
Bandari is still reeling from the shock of an early exit from the Caf Confederation Cup on Sunday in the hands of DR Congo club, St Eloi Lupopo.
Bandari needed to win the match by at least three goals to make it to the next round. Instead, the fixture ended in a 1-1 tie and the Kenyans were knocked out on a 3-1 goal aggregate. They lost 2-0 in the first leg.
Muhiddin blamed the country’s football calendar for their early exit, saying the current calendar does not give local teams enough time for preparation ahead of continental fixtures.
Minnaert however,is keen on keeping the good start intact.
