Armed residents of Dandora and Umoja have been urged to surrender their guns.

Speaking during a security meeting in Mowlem,  Buruburu OCPD urged residents to report anyone in possession of guns.

Embakasi West MP George Theuri who was also in the meeting condemned land grabbing in the area saying it has also led to rising insecurity.

Theuri urged the police to utilise their mandate and protect the helpless when the land grabbers come knocking.

The meeting comes at a time when the area has faced cases of insecurity and subsequent protests regarding the issue.
