Speaking at State House this morning when presiding over the oath taking ceremony of the nine newly appointed Cabinet Secretaries, Uhuru asked those who will find the job difficult to quit early before he cracks the whip on them.
“Should you, at any time, and I repeat, at any time, feel the weight is too much; just say so. There are other Kenyans ready to do the job. Sijui kama tunaelewana wenzangu,” said Uhuru.
Kenyatta is keen on delivering on his big four agenda which include manufacturing, affordable housing, healthcare and food security, and is not leaving anything to chance as he finalises his last term.
Those who took oath include CS Foreign Affairs and International Trade Monica Juma , CS Water and Sanitation – Simon Chelugui , CS Environment Keriako Tobiko ,CS Youth and Gender Affairs Margaret Kobia , CS Lands – Farida Karoney and CS Sports and Heritage Rashid Achesa Mohammed and CS Petroleum and Mining – John Munyes.
All eyes are now on them on how they will perform in Kenyattas’ government.
