The tournament has attracted a total of 22 teams from across Africa.
Speaking at a breakfast event to hand over the KPC Flag to the Team at a Nairobi hotel ahead of departure, KPC Managing Director Joe Sang congratulated the team for securing the chance to represent the country in the 2018 volleyball Africa Club Championships while also attributing their achievement to diligence and team spirit.
“I congratulate you for being our true ambassadors to us as KPC and as a country and therefore I assure you of our support even as you prepare to show the world what you are made of.
I know that you have trained for this tournament with pride and courage, now this is the time for you to shine to the whole world,” Sang said.
On his part, Japheth Munala- the head coach said, “The team has been doing extremely well in the recent tournaments.
The players are in an upbeat mood so we will just take it one step at a time and I’m confident that my players will stage a great show in Cairo and hopefully bring the trophy home. So we are looking forward to it”.

The KPC ladies’ volleyball team remains the Company’s signature initiative that has spanned decades of sporting excellence.
The gallant girls, as staff popularly refer to them, have helped place KPC and the country on the world map through their various achievements in both local and international tournaments.
Having won the continental title seven times, the team has been a source of national pride for Kenya and Africa.
