Remember when Ian Mbugua and his fellow “fashion police” , Annabel and Carol lost their jobs with a local TV station courtesy of a loud public outcry? Well, Jeff Koinange just experienced that.
The former CNN journalist yesterday hinted that his show (Jeff Koinange Live) might have hit a dead end wall at KTN but he will be back soon.
This comes shortly after the public demanded his riddance following a series of dramatic events at the show.
Jeff has suffered humiliation in his own show in the recent past. Just the other day, Human Right Activist Boniface Mwangi walked out on live TV after learning Jeff had secretly invited Moses Kuria at the show without Boni’s knowledge.
Things sailed south when former Prime Minister Advisor, Miguna Miguna and Adopt-a-light chief campaigner one Esther Passaris had a bitter exchange of words and Jeff(the host) failing to control his guests.
Seems Kenyans had had enough of this dramatic episode and called upon the riddance of JKL show.
During the last episode, seem Jeff had been asked to apologize to the public of the Miguna-Pasariss drama.
“Anyone who felt offended by the show between the two personalities should understand that its hard to control a live show but I apologise to anyone who felt aggrieved,” he was quoted saying.
He also left a promise that he will be back on another channel.
“Thank you Kenya, 300 episodes and 10 million viewers for every episode is inspiring. We appreciate you. We will be back on another channel and will be bigger, just ensure you follow us on our social media accounts.”
Well, I scrolled down to read what Kenyans thought of his riddance and two comments saddened my heart;
