Akothee Pays fee for KCPE student who wanted to commit suicide
Singer Esther Akoth popularly known as Akothee has come to the aid of a form one student who wanted to commit suicide.
The 13 year old from Kisumu’s Nyalenda area had pledged to commit suicide for lack of school feels and even wrote a suicide note.
“I know it is not the only way to solve this problem, but it is the best option for me to take,” she wrote
After her plight was aired by a local media house, singer Akothee through her foundation pledged to pay the girl’s fee and high school shopping.
“She is fine now, our girl will join Asumbi girls tomorrow (today) accompanied by her mother, her mother on phone, such a humble educated lady. The school fee for 1st year been covered by a lawyer from Nairobi, and the fees for second year been taken covered by water company director from kisumu, her utilities, school uniforms 3rd-year 4th year & the rest of her education covered by @akotheefoundation
the mother says the girl is very happy to go to school and she will make us proud thank you, citizen, for airing this you saved a life @citizentvkenya be blessed now i think we should get her mothers restaurant running so she can afford a few girly things for her daughter this should be followed by motivational speakers visiting schools
