Activists, journalists camp at Nation Center after reports of attempted arrests

Civil society activists together and media fraternity have condemned the move by the government to deploy police officers around Nation Media Group to arrest three senior journalists at the Nation Center.

A number of journalists from other media houses also camped at the Nation Center after reports that a senior editor and two other journalists were being sought by police.

Addressing the media at nation centre Kenya National Commission for Human Rights vice chairman George Morara says they will  commence legal action against police for the alleged intimidation.

Nation media group director Tom Mshindi on the other hand narrated how the police laid siege at the  nation centre looking for NTV Manager Linus Kaikai,Ken Mijungu and digital editor Larry Madowo.

The shut down has today entered its third with interior cs Fred Okengo Matiangi continuing to play a hard ball on the government side.
