492 more people test positive to Covid-19, number rises to 26,928
Kenya has recorded 492 more cases of coronavirus raising the total number of positive cases to 26,928.
Three more people have so far been confirmed putting the number of total deaths to 423.
Speaking during the Covid-19 briefings Health CS Mutahi Kagwe also stated that the new cases are from 4,603 people tested in the past 24 hours.
534 patients have now recovered from the disease, bringing the total number of recoveries in the country so far to 13,495.
Kagwe also confirmed that the youngest patient was a 11 month old infant while oldest was an 83 year old person.
“I have particularly advised people with small children to stop allowing people into their houses. Whoever wants to visit a small child should wait until the pandemic is over or just send an Mpesa,” said Kagwe.
Here is how the infections were spread according to counties;Nairobi, 357, Garissa 52, Kiambu 37, Kajiado 14, Machakos10, Busia 5, Mombasa 3, Muranga 3, Baringo 3, Embu 3, Kilifi 2, Uasin Gishu 1, Isiolo 1 and Makueni 1.
