At least 32 teachers have been dismissed and de-registered for engaging in sexual relationships with students.

Teachers Service Commission CEO Nancy Macharia these teachers were de-registered in the month of October alone.

Macharia says the de-registered teachers have since been gazetted and that they are on the TSC website.

She further advised school managers not to engage these persons in the schools.

“We are also asking other agencies to deal with these persons on other levels and pursue them,” she said.

Ms Macharia noted with concern how some head teachers and teachers left in the custody of the children were molesting and taking advantage of them.

“The commission is taking this very seriously and those found to be guilty will be dealt with accordingly,” she said.
