A 22-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing his ‘sugar mummy’, 64, and dumping her body outside her house in Nanyuki town.
Tony Kiplagat was found fueling Priscilla Waithira’s car in Karatina town on Wednesday, said Laikipia police boss Angela Karuru.
Kiplagat allegedly killed Waithira, of Prisheran Funeral Services, by hitting her on the head with a blunt object in Muthaiga estate on Saturday night.
He was taken to Nanyuki police station, Karuru saying he will be arraigned in court where police will seek more time for investigations.
Waithira was a financial controller at Fairmont Mt Kenya Safari Club but was retrenched.
Sources said she had been in a relationship with Kiplagat for about two months. They said he has been living with another elderly woman in Kibirigwi, Kirinyaga county since Waithira’s death.
Details have also emerged that the suspect has engaged in criminal activities since he was a pupil at Muthaiga Primary School. School headteacher Stephen Kinoti told the Star on Wednesday that he was almost expelled.
