Fidelity insurance company in conjunction with Sports Journalism Association of Kenya (SJAK) has unveiled the new sponsorship package for the coach of the month award in the Kenya Premier League 2017.
Managing Director of Fidelity Insurance, Mr. Mathew Koech stated at a media briefing that the company is extremely proud to partner with SJAK in the sponsorship deal.
”I must say that am happy as a person and the managing director of Fidelity Insurance company to partner with SJAK in rewarding the top performing coaches of the month,” he said.
Koech also added that the talent in the country needs to be appreciated as it also pays besides education.
The company has increased the initial sponsorship with 50% amount. Normally, the coach of the month used to get a reward in terms of Ksh 50,000 but this year’s coaches of the month will pocket Ksh 75, 000.
Perhaps the partnership has seen the monthly award to the top performing managers in the League this year get an additional amount of Ksh 25, 000.
On the other hand, Sports Journalism Association of Kenya Chairman, Mr. Chris Mbaisi appreciated the Fidelity Insurance Company for chipping in.
” I take this humble opportunity to thank Fidelity Insurance for increasing the sponsorship to the coach of the month awards of this year ,“ he said.
The main objective of the deal is to motivate the local coaches to work extra hard in developing the talents in the country.
This comes in shortly after SJAK in partnership with LG Company unveiled another sponsorship deal in appreciating the Kenya Premier League player of the month.
A 43 inch television set was rewarded to every player of the month voted in by sports journalists initially but deal was further improved as the reward was boosted to a 49 inch LG television set.
