Eighteen suspected criminals were on Wednesday night arrested in Nairobi’s Eastleigh and Pumwani areas.

The suspects were arrested during a night swoop conducted by the police in the area.

The swoop targeted several bus stops and estates by officers drawn from the Kenya Police Service, the Administration Police and the DCI.

DCI detectives said the suspects were arrested over alleged involvement in organised crime and illegal touting.

“The suspects have been illegally manning stages and engaging in other organised crimes,” said DCI said in a statement.

The suspects are expected to be arraigned on Thursday.
